Once upon a time, in the charming town of Sayville, there was a yarn shoppe and its name was "Rumpelstiltskin Yarns." It existed solely, owner Angela D'Aquanno exclaimed, "To bestow heirloom quality craft skills, enchanting yarns, spinning wheels and accessories to all the people in the kingdom. This quaint little shop is the epitome of the fairy tale setting. It's warm atmosphere welcomes you in off the streets. "And, the hospitality of the people is what keeps you coming back for more." Angela's daughter, Jacqueline Doty mentioned. She adds,"I'm sure the free coffee they offer has a lot to do with it, as well."
This shop was Angela's dream and with the help of her husband, Vincent, and family it came to life, her daughter explains. "Angela is an avid crocheter and knitter, and she has been since she was four years old. Then from hard work she made her dream come to life. The dream to have a place where you can relax, enjoy the company, and find all of the specialty items that your crafty heart desires."
There's a wide range of offerings available at Rumpelstiltskin Yarns, from specialty handmade and dyed yarns from local small companies, to foreign yarns made from the finest materials. Jacqueline also said that, "Under the guidance of top-notch teachers, classes offered, include: Knitting, crocheting, spinning, and felting-for all ages! That's right, kids too!"
Angela states that Rumpelstiltskin Yarns is also the only spinning dealership on Long Island.
