Movie Review: The Forbidden Kingdom
 Print  |   Share
The fact that Li is still doing martial arts will come as a relief to those who thought he'd retired. As for Chan, we're not going to get too many more chances to see him this limber without special effects, so consider this a treat. Let's jump right to the middle of the movie and answer the burning question: do the two fight? Yes, they do, and their battle in a deserted outdoor temple is the highlight of the movie. What impressed me about this scene is that the camera shots were long enough to convey the sense that the fight was elaborately choreographed, rather than assembled piecemeal in post-production.
